The 13th season of the A1 Adria League concluded last weekend. This exhilarating online EA FC 24 tournament featured over 300 professional players competing for a prize pool of 1,500 euros. The event also included several players from the Croatian division of our esteemed partners at CyberLive!Arena. Overall, CLA was represented by: Fico, JokerTole, Banderas, Gruby, Th3Prod1gy, IGL, TheKum53, MA221, and WinniePooh.
The tournament consisted of four qualifying rounds, where players earned points to enter the Top 16 and secure a spot in the Group Stage. The top four players from the Group Stage advanced to the finals.
From the beginning, CLA players performed strongly, with each qualifier round featuring at least one of them in the Top 5. It is worth noting that during the first few qualifiers, Fico, JokerTole, and Banderas were in Sweden, simultaneously competing in DreamHack Summer 2024, which added to the pressure. Despite this, they proved their strength, and Gruby, Banderas, JokerTole, and Th3Prod1gy advanced to the Group Stage.
Initially, Fico was not supposed to join them, but when an opportunity arose due to a player dropping out, he had to win a best-of-three knockout round to take the vacant spot. Fico did just that, earning his place alongside the rest of the team.
The Group Stage went very well for CLA, with Fico and Banderas advancing to the Finals. Although neither won the entire tournament, Banderas secured second place while Fico finished third, both earning a share of the prize pool.
We would like to congratulate CLA Croatia on such a significant achievement. Tournaments like this truly capture the dedication and highlight the potential of the players. We wish them the best of luck in future A1 Adria League events.
Regards,
WSH Team
