Recently finished the third stage of the Master Tour of the Ukrainian Championship for the 2023/2024 season "Stolichny.” It saw 24 teams competing for a total prize fund of 20,000 UAH. Among the participants were well-known Ukrainian athletes, including our esteemed Winners team, Danylo Svyrydenko and Maksym Horobets.
The competition, structured according to FIVB rules, is spread across six stages. Each stage is a separate double-elimination tournament, with the possibility of the second qualifying round. Participants earn rating points based on their finishing positions at the end of each stage.
Having won the first stage previously, this time, Winners team faced two defeats by the team that eventually won but secured 5 victories overall. This impressive performance placed them in 5th position, a remarkable achievement given the high level of competition.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Danylo and Maksym on their success and express our gratitude to the event organizers and all the athletes who took part. Even in such challenging times, you provide people with hope and motivation for the future. We look forward to the upcoming stages of the "Stolichny" tournament.
