Discover New Winners Beach Volleyball Tournament Format

Winners Beach Volleyball is entering a new era. Starting in November, the tournament will feature a renewed format that brings even more excitement, intensity, and competition for every point. From now on, the road to victory will consist of two stages – the Group Stage and the Playoffs.

The first stage will gather all teams in a round-robin group tournament. Here, a new point system will be introduced: a 2:0 win earns three points, a 2:1 win gives two points, a 1:2 loss brings one point, and a 0:2 loss gives none. This model makes every match matter, as even in tight situations teams can collect valuable points that may decide their path to the next stage.

After the group stage, it’s time for the playoffs. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals: the first team will face the fourth, while the second will meet the third. The winners will play in the final for gold, and the losing teams will compete for bronze.

The new format is designed to make the tournament even more dynamic and unpredictable. From now on, every match will count, every point will shape the standings, and the battle for the podium will be more intense than ever.
