WSH Athletes Took Gold in Open Beach Volleyball Championship

Last weekend marked the end of the first stage of the Master tour of the Ukrainian Championship for the 2023/2024 season “Stolichny”. It featured a total of 35 men's and women's teams, competing for a prize fund of 20,000 UAH. Among many prominent Ukrainian athletes, our renowned Winners stars, Danylo Svyrydenko, and Maksym Horobets, participated with the goal of winning

Based on official FIVB guidance, the championship lasts across six different stages. Each stage is conducted in the form of a separate double-elimination tournament, with the possibility of a secondary qualification stage. After each stage, players are rewarded with rating points depending on the scored place.

Starting on a high note, the Svyrydenko/Horobets team reached the finals without suffering a single defeat. The final game was undoubtedly their toughest, stretching over three full sets. Eventually, they emerged victorious with a total score of 2:1, rightfully claiming the grand prize and 400 rating points.

We would like to commend Danylo and Maksym for their accomplishments, which clearly showcase their daily dedication and sheer passion for the game. We also extend our gratitude to the tournament organizers for conducting such a competition under the extreme conditions currently present in Ukraine.
